Weather around The High South: A good winter front will issue in a chance of cold rain later Sunday PM. Clearing Monday and colder/windy. Highs in the 40s and lows dipping into the 20s for the first half of the week. Bundle up!

Weather Update: Late on Monday through Tuesday night, the region may experience powerful, gusty winds as a frontal system moves through. Additionally, there is a chance of isolated heavy rainfall on Tuesday into Tuesday night. Highs around 50, lows in the lower 40s.

Ice Skating: Highlands once again has ice skating at the Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park. For those young ones, the Polar Express rolls to the North Pole out of Bryson City!  Until the Resort's Frozen Falls tube park opens, snow tubing at The Highlands Outpost is a family favorite!
